Can we actually get more done by slowing down?

Gabby says we can!


Charlie heard the tail end of this video, where Gabby says, “Get started now.”

Charlie asked, “Mama, are you going to get started now?”

I said, “Oh, I’ve already started.”

She said, “Whaaaat?”

Mind blown….

How we can slow down and why

Slowing down can be as simple as taking a few minutes to take deep breaths.
I find myself running for vices, like a coffee, or a homemade pumpkin cookie…
If I am feeling just a twinge of being run-down, overwhelmed or tired, I think of a way out…
Then I remember that the answers are within…
And this is what Gabby reminds us…
Rather than running for a vice, take the moment to call on our own energy, and the energy around us…
…to help us re-calibrate….
In  my own experience, this is a practice I have found most beneficial…
Because it works…
Although I’m one for a hot bath as a way to relax…
I find my peace when I stop, close my eyes, and take deep breathes…

Breathe not just for the sake of breathing….

I had always heard that if you are upset, count to 10 and then see how you feel…
I never knew the science or thought behind it, until now.
The intention behind breathing is that we are releasing our stress, worries and really all our thoughts…
We are calling on our higher power…we are re-connecting with our higher self…
When we are upset, stressed, feel pain, worry, etc…
We are moving farther away from our higher self.
It can take a definitive decision to stop and move back towards the light…   our light….
And then before you know it, you’ll do it subconsciously…
