Day 12 of the 28 Days of Thanks: A Job

Champagne to Crayons really knows how to bring up the goods with their 28 Days of Thanks!

A job…

A J-O-B…

If you are like me, you were raised to have one…

At 15, I started working at Shear Talent Hair Design…as a shampoo girl…

Then I got a job next door, at the Panera Bread…

I worked both jobs while I was in highschool…

Then, I actually got a few paying gigs, acting in a murder mystery dinner theatre…

While in college, I was a server…

When I was 20, I lived in New Jersey with Sean over the summer and worked at two different restaurants…

I worked at a daycare center when I lived with Sean in Virginia… and went back to work at the same daycare center the months leading up to Charlie’s birth…

After I graduated, I got my first “real” job as a sales/customer service rep for a company in Virginia…

I got 3 more jobs after that…all as a sales rep….

“Do your job”

“Work hard at your job”

“Show up to your job”

“Prove yourself at your job”

“I need a new job”

“I don’t have a job”

“I love my job”

“I hate my job”

You may consider the work you do to earn a paycheck…a job…

The owner of the company you work for… considers it his or her legacy…

By leveraging your skills, time and abilities, he or she can make more money…

I have always loved my jobs…at first…and I have always been successful…then there would come a time when my sadness would creep in and I would have to wonder…

What am I doing?

I am yearning for something greater…something  more…

If you have a job that you love, I am so thankful and happy for you… it is truly our life’s purpose to use our gift and talents to serve others…and be reimbursed financially…

When we can pay our bills and have more than enough to give to others, travel when we want, and have the freedom to vote with our dollar…. we are that much more able and powerful….we can give that much more…

In a world full of a lack mentality… “we don’t have enough”… we must rise up and step into our abundance…

We have enough because we are enough

I started to believe awhile ago that our fear and pain was keeping us from reaching financial goals…

My thoughts were always consumed with: How can I get a good job so that I can put my time in, work my way up and/or be really good at selling so I could make money?

Then, I realized I was listening to the wrong people… the leaders and experienced working people I was looking up to were not in a place that I wanted to be in…

Since, I’ve chosen new mentors…listening to people that have the information I want…and I listen when they say: How can I provide more value, and use my gifts and talents to serve others?

If you are passionate about your job… God bless you… and thank you for using your gifts to touch others with your energy and spirit…

If you are not passionate about your job and have put a plan in place to release it and move onto what you are passionate about… God bless and congratulations….and thank you….

If you are not passionate about your job and think that you have to struggle in order to make the money you want to make…. I invite you to make a different choice….and hear me when I tell you that:

You are valuable and you deserve happiness…

you are the gift you must give to the world…

And when we live from a place of passion, and truth….

Our light will literally light up the darkness…

And we will be blessed beyond financial freedom….we will hear our calling…

And be ready to receive inspiration…and guidance…

So, if you are miserable all the time because you are not being fulfilled… you cannot reach this place…

Have a beautiful day…
